Nylon is a generic designation for a family of synthetic polymers known as polyamides Nylon is essentially an organic thermoplastic that is very durable, easy to machine and can handle very high temperatures.
Polypropylene is a popular synthetic filament used in a wide variety of applications. Its low specific gravity offers a low cost high performance fiber for wet or dry applications. Polypropylene has excellent stiffness when wet, is non-brittle, is inert to most solvents, oils, acids and chemicals, and is fungus resistant. Crimped and level filaments are available.
Sisal is a vegetable fiber obtained from plants, the color is creamy white (slightly yellow) but can be dyed.
